A little background on my wedding photography journey, I photographed my very first wedding in 2015. At the time I had my first year of college under my belt but no experience with weddings. Anxious as I could be at the time, I tackled the day head on. Reflecting on many years of weddings, each wedding has its own “twists and turns” of events that don’t go as planned, but at the end of the day the bride & groom still got married. I think its safe to say that no matter what happens, 98% of the time your guests are none the wiser. They never would have guessed that your homemade wedding cake tumbled to the ground, or that the front church door got ripped off in the severe storm hours ago. Life happens, its out of our control. What is in our control, is how we move forward and enjoy the day because you are marrying your best friend!
On the biggest day of your life, be at ease with minimal stress! I customize a tailored timeline to help alleviate any stress and answer all questions when it comes to the logistics of how your day will play out. Ever wonder how long it takes to photograph each important portion of your day? Rest assured as we sit down and have a simple conversation to help figure out what portions of your day are the most important. Whatever it may be, I create a timeline specific to your unique day.
Planning a wedding is a lot of work and I am always in your corner, always open to answering phone calls and texts no matter if your wedding is in a week, month or even a year. Here are a few FAQ’s:
Do you require a deposit? YES, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required upon booking to save your date. This amount then gets taken off of your balance.
When is final payment due? Two weeks prior to your wedding date I require that the remaining balance is paid off in full. This ensures that you have one less thing to worry about on your BIG day!
Do you charge for mileage? Yes & No! If your ceremony & reception are more than 100 miles from Cold Spring, round trip, then yes I do charge a standard $0.66/additional mile. Depending upon location, I may request a hotel. This would all be discussed in our initial conversation!
When do we get our images back? Engagement sessions are retouched and delivered back to clients within 2 weeks of the session date. All wedding photos are retouched and delivered back to clients generally 3-6 weeks after your wedding date.
Can we pick our engagement session location? Yes, yes, yes! I love when clients have locations in mind, this keeps my creative mind happy. I love photographing in new locations all the time!
Will you give away our Wedding date if someone inquires while we are still deciding? Absolutely not! I always allow a two-week window to each client that inquiries to make a decision. Your wedding day is a BIG day and I don’t want you to feel forced into a decision.
